Becker’s Snack Shack Receives FHLBank Grant In Partnership with Bradford National Bank
Bradford National Bank, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago), has awarded a Community First® Accelerate Grant to small business Becker’s Snack Shack, located in Irvington, IL.
“Small businesses, like Becker’s Snack Shack, play an essential role in our communities,” said Michael Ennen, president of Bradford National Bank. “We are thrilled to once again partner with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago to award these grants and help businesses in our communities thrive. Becker’s Snack Shack is unique to Irvington, and we are proud to work with them and support their success.”

FHLBank Chicago awarded $4.3 million in Accelerate Grants to 172 small businesses in Illinois and Wisconsin in 2023, helping them expand or develop.
Mona Becker, owner of Becker’s Snack Shack, said, “I’ve always wanted to start my own business and as long-time members of the community, we couldn’t have imagined a better place to open our restaurant. The community of Irvington is great and very supportive. I am so grateful for the grant I received! This grant will allow me to make improvements to my business to better serve my customers and my community.”
Founded in 1867, Bradford National Bank is the 10th oldest bank in Illinois.
